Warning: Don’t be a victim of fraudulent job offers & letters
It has come to our attention that individuals posing as Groma Infrastructure Limited employees or representatives have contacted people offering fraudulent or fictitious employment opportunities with the objective of stealing personal information or soliciting money from them. We advise you to use caution and discretion when receiving or accepting any such job offer that asks for payment of fees or money or offers an opportunity in lieu of money. These offers are completely bogus and invalid. Scammers operate mainly via the internet, email, phone, etc. We caution people to be wary of such scams.
Warning signs of fraud in recruitment:
Here are some instances of recruitment fraud that are in violation of Groma Infrastructure Ltd.’s practises and ethical standards:
- The email is not sent from an official Groma e-mail address, which ends with @groma.co.in, but from a free email service. It is also possible that a fictitious email ID was used to send the email.
- You are asked to disclose private or confidential information to someone other than Groma.
- You are asked to pay fees/money for employment verification, the pre-employment process, and any other such activities.
- You are requested to fill out bogus recruitment paperwork, such as an external third-party application or verification. Kindly take note that Groma has its own verification system and does not depend on third parties for verification, paperwork, or any other kind of employment process.
- Money will be solicited for the processing of employment verification, a job offer letter, a security deposit, or any other such thing.
Such actions are apparently intended to defraud the victims or obtain personal information from them. These individuals carry out activities that have both criminal and civil consequences. Although Groma takes such matters seriously and reserves the right to approach law enforcement to look into and prosecute such illegal activities, it is often difficult to identify and bring these defrauders to justice.
Therefore, if you receive a request—verbal or written—for an interview or an employment offer that you think might be fraudulent or suspicious, please ignore it. You can also confirm this with us at hr@groma.co.in and info@groma.co.in.
If you come to know that fraud is being perpetrated, we encourage you to contact your local police and/or any competent authorities and also to keep us informed by reporting the fraud at hr@groma.co.in and info@groma.co.in.
Under no circumstances will Groma Infrastructure Limited be liable or responsible for any loss, damages, expenses, or inconvenience resulting from these unauthorised persons and/or activities.
